Chauffeur-driven options

Dubai is one of the few cities where renting a Lamborghini for a day is a normal thing tourists do, and the roads are built for it: wide, smooth and policed by cameras rather than patrols. The catch is the fine print. Deposits, mileage caps, speed-camera fines that arrive weeks later and insurance excesses have caught out many visitors.

We work with licensed rental companies, not brokers, and we put the whole deal on one page before you commit: daily rate, mileage allowance, deposit and how it is returned, excess, and what happens with a fine. Delivery and collection at your hotel are included in the city.

Below: the cars people actually rent and what they cost, the driving-licence rules by nationality, and a plain guide to deposits and fines.

Buono a sapersi

Can I drive on my home licence?+

Visitors from the GCC, the EU, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and about twenty other countries drive on their home licence. Others need an International Driving Permit alongside the home licence. We confirm for your nationality before you book.

What is the minimum age?+

Twenty-one for most luxury cars, twenty-five for supercars, with at least one year on the licence. Some companies require a longer licence history for cars above 600 hp.

How much is the deposit?+

Typically AED 5,000 for luxury cars and AED 10,000 to 25,000 for supercars, held on a credit card and released 14 to 30 days after return once any traffic fines have cleared.

What about speeding fines?+

Cameras are everywhere and fines are issued to the car, then passed to you with an admin fee. Drive at the limit; the fines are steep and the deposit hold exists mainly for this.

Is fuel included?+

No. Cars are delivered with a set fuel level and returned at the same level, or refuelled at a premium.

Can I take the car to Abu Dhabi or Oman?+

The other emirates yes. Oman needs separate insurance and permission, which only some companies provide.
